Fire Sprinkler Fitter Project 1

Eight students were selected to enter into the entry-level apprenticeship Sprinkler Fitter's program. They installed fire sprinkler systems on the 102-477 building on the Wind River Reservation.

Fire Sprinkler Fitter Project 2

Three students were selected into the entry-level apprenticeship Sprinkler Fitter's program. The trainees installed fire sprinkler systems in the Eastern Shoshone Daycare building, Eastern Shoshone Head Start building, Eastern Shoshone Senior Citizen Center and Eastern Shoshone Early Head Start building.

Two students were selected into the entry-evel apprenticeship Sprinkler Fitter's program. The trainees installed fire sprinkler systems in the Boys & Girls Club building on the Wind River Reservation. All trainees were able to continue work with a contractor who secured work at the Wind River Casino.

Energy Auditor
Project 1

A energy audit is often used to identify cost effective ways to improve the comfort and efficiency of buildings. Three teams were selected to do energy audits for the Wind River Tribes, Crow Tribe, Rosebud Tribe, Spirit Lake Tribe and the Blackfeet Tribe.

Energy Auditor
Project 2

A second round of energy assessments were done on various tribes throughout Indian Country including: Fort Peck Assiniboine & Sioux Tribes, Blackfeet Tribe, Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, Three Affiliated Tribes & Spirit Lake Nation.

Residential Renovation
Project 1

Several local tribal members were able to receive training on a residential renovation project through a cooperative agreement between the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Wind River TERO and NACTM. Tribes have the option to '638' a project such as the one here for the sole purpose of assuming responsibility over a project. (Click Here to view Photo Gallery of Project)
